National Study Tour: Washington D.C. Youth Study Tour

We help to empower, encourage and motivate young minds to see the world differently.  LifeSmart Education "Youth Study Tour" serves as a catalyst in meeting the learning objectives that all students can benefit from.  It is our utmost priority to provide our students with the best educational experience possible.  We specialize in tours tailored to the individuals tastes and interests of growing young minds.

Our tour to Washington D.C. begins in Columbus, Ohio and travels to the nation's capital, Washington D.C. for three days.  This tour is geared towards high school students of all ages from grades 9 - 12.  The purpose of this tour is to provide students with a more insightful educational understanding about the government and history of the United States.  Students embark on an up close adventure that brings them face-to-face with the realities of the world in which we live.

While driving to the capital, our tour will engage the students in educational activities during the seven hour journey.  Students will be prepared to experience the historical monuments of the Lincoln Memorial, The Reflecting Pool, where Martin Luther King Jr., gave his famous "I have a dream" speech on August 28th 1963, the Smithsonian Museums and special guided tours to the White House, Kennedy Center, Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress and State Department.

Prior to departing on the trip to Washington D.C., students will participate in a one day seminar that prepares them with basic life skills that will help ensure their trip to D.C. is successful.  Courses include etiquette, tour money and time management, and geography of Washington D.C.

As a participant in the Youth Study Tour, students who successfully complete the tour to Washington D.C., will be eligible to register for our international program with Global Diversity Abroad.  For information on the international tours, please visit our website, www.GlobalDiversityAbroad.org or contact our Los Angeles office at 818-732-0924.
